St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church is a vibrant parish and inclusive faith community rooted in worship, outreach, and fellowship. Established in 1916, the church has long served the east side of Indianapolis. It is a community rooted in faith, shaped by love, and called to serve. Congregational life together is built on connection, compassion, and a shared commitment to growing in Christ. Whether gathering for worship, learning, or service, St. Matthew’s parishioners seek to create spaces where all are welcomed, supported, and sent out to make a difference.
The parish is known for its open and affirming stance, welcoming people from all backgrounds with “open hearts and caring hands.” Worship services include traditional Holy Eucharist offerings on Sundays and Wednesdays, with music and choir featured during the Sunday 10a.m. service.
